When the salmonella symptoms becomes severe it can result to a more serious or sometimes a life threatning condition and complication like Reiter’s syndrome and severe dehydration. The following symptoms requires immediate and emergency medical care.

  • When the patient is passing out a couple of time and becomes unresponsive or confused

  • Behavioral and mental changes happens like confusion, delirium, lethargy, hallucinations and delusions
  • Feeling like the world is going round and round
  • Lips are cracked due to dryness.

  • Eyes becomes irritated

  • In cases were the patient is an infant: fontanel is sunken (soft spot), lethargic, crying with no tears, not urinating properly.

In cases where in you are with someone who exhibit or manifest these symptoms it is best to go straight to the emergency room of any hospital that is nearest your place. That is actually the best option left to do. Keeping the patient safe is one important thing to do.
